trade types

ATX v2 support the following 3 basic trade types

1) Disabled: Disabled trade receive no traffic from regular trade links.
They however still can get listed in the toplist
To stop the traffic flow to a trade entirely, set the trade type to "disabled",
and the toplist listing to "off"

2) Normal: ATX will return traffic to these trades as it seems fit.
The advanced trade algorithms try to distribute the trade amongst your trades in such a way
that your site grows as fast as possible.

3) Capped: This trade type is the same as Normal mode, with the exception of 3 caps that are now in effect:

cap: min click prod

When the click prod (effective clicks / unique hits in) of the past 24 hours drops below the percentage set here the trade gets placed at the absolute bottom of your outlist, and will receive virtually no traffic anymore
This trade type does not effect the position of the trade in the outlist

cap: min trade value

When the trade value (clicks to trades / hits out) of the past 24 hours drops below the percentage set here the trade gets placed at the absolute bottom of your outlist, and will receive virtually no traffic anymore
This trade type does not effect the position of the trade in the outlist

cap: max return

When the trade return (hits out / unique hits in) of the past 24 hours rises above the percentage set here the trade gets placed at the absolute bottom of your outlist, and will receive virtually no traffic anymore
This trade type does not effect the position of the trade in the outlist

Besides the trade types, there are several other options to (temporarily) change the behaviour of a trade.
Most effective is the 'target size' feature

With the target size feature, you can specify a desired size for a trade
As long as the desired size has not yet been reached, the trade receives a focus boost (pre-target weight) in the outgoing list, resulting in a higher position.
Once the desired size has been reached, the trade receives a focus boost or penalty (post-target weight),
which can also result in a higher or lower position in the outlist.

target typetarget sizeeffect
hits in / day10000pre-target weight bonus applies untill the trade has reached a size of 10000 uniques in the past 24 hours
hits out / day12500pre-target weight bonus applies untill the trade has reached a size of 10000 outs in the past 24 hours
clicks / day20000pre-target weight bonus applies untill the trade has generated 20000 effective clicks in the past 24 hours
% of hits in returned125pre-target weight bonus applies untill you have returned at least 125% of the hits received.
For example, if you have received 100 hits, ATX will keep boosting the trade untill you've sent 125 hits.
% of clicks returned90%pre-target weight bonus applies untill you have returned at least 90% of the generated effective clicks.
For example, if the trade has generated 5000 effective clicks, ATX will keep boosting the trade untill you have sent 4500 hits.

The pre-target weight sets the boost or penalty a trade receives as long as the target size has not yet been reached
The post-target weight sets the boost or penalty a trade receives once the target size has been reached
Normal trade bevahiour is 100% for both pre-target and post-target
